Airmail offered yet another opportunity for people to send their mail more quickly and further afield. In June 1930, a special fleet of blue Royal Mail vans and letter boxes were introduced to handle and advertise the improved Air Mail service. This later, die-cast limited edition model of the car was on sale between 1935 and 1940, and originally cost 6d. On the side doors are stickers with a crown, a posthorn and 'ROYAL/ AIR MAIL/ SERVICE' printed on them.
