Since our privatisation, eligible full-time employees have already received 11 per cent of shares in our company, for free. This means each eligible full-time employee has received 832 Free Shares, with a pro-rata allocation for part-time workers and new joiners. In October 2015, the UK Government sold its remaining shares in Royal Mail. At the same time, it confirmed that it will set aside its remaining one per cent shareholding for Royal Mail’s eligible UK employees. This would take the total stake in the business given to employees to 12 per cent.
