The 2011 Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton was celebrated by two stamps featuring the official engagement portraits taken by the renowned photographer Mario Testino. As with all Royal Mail’s commemorative stamps, The Queen gave final approval for their issue, with Prince William also involved. With this issue the Prince also became the first of The Queen’s grandchildren to have their wedding commemorated on a set of stamps.
