Thomas Kett (1914-2003)

Thomas Kett was the Assistant Inspector on board the Travelling Post Office attacked by the Great Train Robbers in August 1963. Kett, who was unharmed in the robbery, was in charge of the High Value Packet carriage which contained mail packages of bank notes. This carriage along with the locomotive was separated from rest of the train and targeted by the robbers in Ledburn between Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire and Cheddington in Buckinghamshire.
