Sir Henry Tanner (1849–1935)

Prominent architect, Henry Tanner worked for the HM Office of Works during the late 19th and early 20th century, working for HM Office of Works. Born in St Pancras, London, Tanner designed a number of iconic Post Office buildings including the York Post Office, Birmingham Post Office, the Post Office Savings Bank in West Kensington and the King Edward Post Office Building.
