Simon Evans (1895-1940)

Simon Evans was born in Tynyfedu, Wales and worked as a postman for most of his short life. His experiences in the First World War left him permanently injured and led him to swap his pre-war urban life for that of a county postman in rural South Shropshire. He started to write short articles on country life becoming a regular contributor to programmes on the BBC Midland Service and eventually a published writer.
