'RMS Queen Mary Liverpool' Model

Royal Mail Ship, or RMS, is the prefix used from 1840 for seagoing vessels that carry mail under contract to Royal Mail. The Queen Mary sailed primarily on the North Atlantic Ocean from 1936 to 1967 for the Cunard Line. She held the ‘Blue Riband’ for the fastest passenger ship crossing of the Atlantic for almost the whole of the period 1936 to 1952. This wood model is inscribed on its stern, 'RMS Queen Mary Liverpool'.
