Model airmail plane (c. 1934)

The first overseas airmail service was launched in 1918 and run by the Royal Air Force. The service flew between Folkestone and Cologne. This rare model is of a Frog mail plane.

The model was built in around 1934 and is thought to have been used in air races. This model tinplate ‘2 seat high speed freight carrying monoplane type Mk VI’ in dark blue Royal Air Mail livery, G-ADGR registration to wings and fuselage, complete and in its original box, with winder and instructions.
