Maureen Tranter
Having competed in the 1964 Tokyo Games, aged just 17, athlete and Wolverhampton GPO telephonist Maureen Tranter competed in the 200m sprint and sprint relay at the 1968 Mexico City Olympic Games. Despite recording a personal best of 23.5 seconds in the 200m sprint, Tranter missed out on a medal.
